Type of Program
Social Connectedness
Volunteer Management
Wellness & Mental Health

The Keep In Touch program intends to reduce isolation, loneliness, and disconnectedness amongst seniors and vulnerable community members. The program connects individuals for social interaction and helps to find resources via regular, friendly conversations through a weekly telephone support system. These connections aim to build genuine relationships that ease loneliness during these stressful times. One of the best ways to demonstrate how much we value our aging loved ones is to ensure that our community is a good place to grow older.

The funding for the Covid-19 Seniors Response Project has been provided by the Government of Canada's New Horizons for Seniors Program

Volunteer Lethbridge exists as a support network for both volunteers and non-profit organizations to help them build capacity and thrive. Our aim is to safely provide opportunities for people to contribute to their community, and to offer continued aid and guidance to the change-makers in this city.

We accomplish this through:

  1. connecting volunteers with ideal volunteer opportunities
  2. giving non-profit organizations the help they need to run effectively.
