Calls for Proposals under the Enabling Accessibility Fund (EAF) program is open between June 4 and July 29, 2021. This call for proposals funds capital projects to help increase the physical accessibility of community spaces and work spaces.
The Government of Canada will be accepting applications from organizations that wish to receive funding for mid-sized projects (open from June 4, 2021 to July 29, 2021).
This component of the EAF aims to create more opportunities for people with disabilities to use programs, services, participate in community activities or access employment opportunities. Eligible organizations can apply for a minimum of $350,000 and a maximum of $1,000,000 for projects that will:
- improve accessibility and safety for persons with disabilities in Canadian communities and workplaces, and
- increase access to programs, services or employment opportunities that focus on a holistic approach in addressing the social or labour market integration needs of persons with disabilities.
The call is open until July 29, 2021.
Projects must be ready to start on or after April 1, 2022 and must be completed by March 31, 2024.
