FORE! The Love of Golf - Older Adults

In partnership with Alzheimer Calgary & the University of Calgary, this 12 week program is specialized for people living with dementia to reignite a popular pastime or continue playing golf. We offer opportunities to socialize and be active to improve health and well-being. Trained staff will be available to provide support and maintain structure and consistency throughout each session. Participants will receive a golf lesson refresher with a Golf Pro and time to play on the course in a dementia friendly environment. Equipment is provided if needed.

This co-creation program is for older adults ages 50+ with some previous experience playing golf and their care partner.

There will be an optional photo/video & research component.

Please aware that there are environmental factors to consider with occasional loud noises from airplanes flying overhead at McCall Lake Golf Course.

Date: Tuesdays, May 28 to August 20, 2024 (no program on July 23)
